Pomac Experiential

08:00 a.m. Departure to the south east of the city of Chiclayo.

08:45 a.m. We head to the historic sanctuary BOSQUE DE POMAC, a dry forest that houses the largest concentration of carob trees, an ideal place for bird watching and the cradle of the Lambayeque culture. We will visit the interpretation center, showing biological and archaeological wealth, seeking environmental sustainability and protection of endemic species.

We take the walk to see the ancient tree (carob tree) along the way we will meet some birds and reptiles (iguanas) We will visit the cradle of important lords of the Lambayeque culture (east tomb and west tomb).

Beekeeping

10:30 am LThe route continues with BEEKEEPING, an important activity for the conservation of forests due to the natural dissemination of seeds, it constitutes a source of income in the production of honey, pollen, royal jelly and propolis.

We will have the experience of observing the hives (protective clothing) and learning about the work of worker bees.

Loche Pumpkin

12:30 We head to Pomac III to learn about the cultivation and use in Peruvian food of an ancestral product EL ZAPALLO LOCHE. We will use our sense of smell to perceive its peculiar aroma and touch to feel the structure of its shape.

14:00 hrs. Lunch.

Native Cotton

15:00 hrs. he experience continues with the explanation of the importance of native cotton, we will participate in the removal of the fiber and with the ancestral technique (backstrap loom) we will observe the work in felling, as well as the experience of carrying out the activity.

Travel conditions:
